Default exhaust manifold gasket sealing

I have a gasket leak the shop that did the work used some kind of sealant on them now i have to clean it up and put new gaskets on the gaskets were felpros and the correct size wide bolt pattern for dart heads. Should i used some kind of sealant again and what kind and on both mating services? Iam a little lost here

There should be no need for any sort of gasket sealer on header gaskets. I have been using Percy's dead soft aluminum gaskets and have had no leaking at all.
