Here is the mock up of the driver's seat and steering wheel. I chose a Momo Prototipo wheel and mated it to an NRG short hub and quick release. The quick release was a must-have with the Kirkey race seats and side pipes. I will be using the stock Tilt/Tele column. The tilt mechanism had some play in it so I pulled it out and replaced the lower knuckle/lock shoe pins, column sphere, and upper/lower bearings. I'm retaining the turn signal switch but the ignition and starter switches will be relocated to the dash.

Also this post has finally confirmed it that is exactly the steering wheel I am looking for. I guess I will give old Tommy Boy a call in the morning and tell him to order one up for me.

I'm still chipping away at it. I got the steering column rebuilt, the engine plumbing finished, the Ridetech steering brace installed, the engine wiring harness completed and the dash harness roughed in. I'm using an AAW Highway 15 kit for the wiring. When I get back from SEMA, I'm going put the column back in it and then fire the engine, check vitals and do a rough tune. Then, I will tidy up the dash harness and wire the rear lights.
I just completed lots of little odds and ends under the hood. Not a trace of Pro Touring in here... just old school hot rodding. Here is the finished engine bay.
