Who has this set up in 1st gen camaro

I believe the "Blue Hour" Camaro has the sub/pan/steering rack combo.

I think if you utilized the speed tech mounts vs the autokraft it should work. I'm going with the speed tech sub with the same rack. I will utilize the mast oil pan and the speed tech mounts which from what I understand work together.

Thanks for the input. I have seen the Evade Camaro build thread, and it utilized the autokraft engine plates. However, I am not sure how the unisteer fit with the set up.

Not quite sure what is the difference between autokraft engine adapter plates and Speed tech ones.

I would also like to know the required length for the steering shaft. I will receive shaft soon and needs to be cut to the requird length.

I will check out the Blue Hour Camaro build.

I don't think there is specified length that needs to be cut for the steering shaft. From what i understand the shaft shouldn't protrude into the ujoint assembly.

from the SpeedTech Instructions

The steering shaft is typically left long to allow for trimming. Mock up the shaft assembly in place and trim as needed to ensure that the correct length is achieved.
When installing the shaft you MUST offset the u-joints by approximately 45 degrees. You will find one end is splined to allow the shaft to be rotated and “phased” to eliminate any binding. You may have to adjust the phasing slightly from this 45 degree starting position to completely eliminate any binding.

Also the rack has spacers that come with it and longer bolts.

From the instruction

You must remove the rack from the mounting bracket to get the driver side bolt
into it's position in the bracket. Apply anti-seize lubricant to the shank of the bolts,
install into bracket, then reinstall bracket onto rack body.
For proper alignment, refer to the installation instructions included with the rack
and pinion. The 2 mounting bolts must go in at the same time (see photo above)
and the bracket and spacers must end up flush against the frame. It may take 2
people to perform this procedure, it is a tight fit.

I have the speed tech front clip and torque arm, the speedtech motor mounts/plates, and holley oil pain. I had to reverse the mount/plates to get the clearance i needed from the unisteer, but it is really close.

Could you please explain what you meant by reversing the mounts/plates in your case.

I have gone through the instructions, and it seems like the installation is on stock 1st gen subframe not Speedtech Subframe.
