I talked to the shop foreman at DSE and he said you can't remove it once you tack the down bars on, interesting. He also said you can cut the hoop down if you want to lower it a little in the car for clearances for headliner and welding up the down bars.

Yes, I did use the DSE template for the package tray. It would have been much easier without the rear glass, but I managed to get it done.

The instruction did say to tack the down bars, and remove the whole unit outside the vehicle to finish welding.
