Default Question for the Pro's

I'm fitting new seats in my project and need to weld to the seat rails. The question is: Is there any chance of setting off the seat airbag by welding on the seat frame? The air bags are live and have not been deployed. I believe that the bags are safe as long as they are disconnected from a power source. But I am a little shy about hanging a ground and going at it. Kinda reminds me of a gas tank.......or a front suspension spring in a spring compressor, things that just need a little a little respect.
Any input would be appreciated.
John
