I'd describe the color we're leaning to as a "medium" grey....

Last I heard from Charley it was "you know what you need..." shortly after, I had my number changed, lol

So a bit unrelated but close enough in topic to mention. The first time I was in Sun Valley I fell in love with a Blue/Grey Sprinter that was in town, now everytime I see that color I think how good it'd look on an old car. Next time you're running around town I'm sure you'll see one, or five.

This is pulled from the web, the color really needs to be seen in person.

The original 36-40 ford gray was much like machinery gray and has a completely different tone than sealer does. I think as a single stage it would look great using an original color. This 36 has had one partial repaint. The original color is about half shade darker.

Well I don't know about the "dress" part..... I gave away all my suits and ties years ago after selling the NYC business!! Now I'm Idaho hick.... and the t-shirt I had on yesterday had holes in the shoulder area from MIG weld splatter....

Smart on the number change..... LOL

Those seem to be "THE" hot new camper "active lifestyle" rig! They're everywhere here! I even helped my buddy (he was the foreman on our house build here) build out his interior. Had to teach him how to weld and to cut metal --- he didn't understand warpage.... Damn wood builders! Funny -- he liked working with metal - but that was also in my shop! LOL ---- Loved the "take it over to the cold cut saw" --- and he's looking at me with squinted eyes that are asking "WHAT??!!"

On the plus side of painting it that ****ty color if Greg decides he is gonna die again I will be able to buy it cheap.

Funny that I was looking for color ideas (Originally it was going to be 1957 Porsche Stone Grey).... and the 1940 Ford Pickup color of FOLKSTONE GRAY popped up.... but like the TEAL colors on restored GM 50's cars --- there's 700 shades of them - from light to dark. That particular original color - when you search for cars using it - runs from a light tan to a dark gray and everywhere in between.

Mostly what I decided against -- was anything with a green/brown tone in it.... I want it a bit more modern.... "cleaner" if you will. The guys at the shop picked out several and had them there to look at and they had added some tint or whatever to make it "better" / or "worse" if you're name starts with a "C" like Crap or....

Glad it won't be a brown gray. I'm not a fan. I prefer blue grays. I know you'll get it right. Basher's right, you've got style!

Basher just wants to marry into the family.... LOL

As we all know --- there's about a zillion colors and about 8 zillion opinions. I don't care what color it would be -- some wouldn't like it.... some would.... somebody else doesn't like the wheels... or the motor choice.... or they'd want a stick.
