Talking GT Award

Last night the Morrison Corvette won the Sony Grand Turismo award! (Actually it was early early this morning) It will be a featured car in the new Grand Turismo playstation game! Congratulations to Art and Craig on this awesome accomplishment! A job well done!

Here is the best info I have right now. Last night at Sony the car won several awards. It won Best in Show and Best Hot Rod, the Grand Turismo! It is the featured car for the new PS3 game. Evidently the creator of the game Grand Turismo flew in from Japan to sit in the car.

People have been taking pictures of the car non-stop. Many magazines from all over the world have taken pictures too. The Discovery Channel came and shot the car and an interview with Art and Craig!

Everyone is having a hard time believing the carbon fiber dash is real. In case your wondering, it is real, all of the carbon fiber on the car is real. The most complicated part was the dash which is an overlay on a modified factory part. The difficulty was making it look all one piece with no seams. Keep in mind we only had one dash to work with so it had to be right the first time. The fabric just doesn't like conforming to such a cool shape. Doing one of a kind carbon fiber parts can be very challanging as this certainly was. Thank God it turned out! The weave direction for the carbon interior parts flows from one part to the next so that your eye is not disrupted from the continous flow of the interior. The air intake tube is all carbon and weighs as much as a hand full of feathers. The challenge was to create it without a traditional mold, no parting lines and once again hide all the seams.

When I hear more I will post more.

Default The buz continues

Yesterday Art and Craig recieved several invites to the various roadster shows. The important people involved had heard plenty about the car but had not seen it yet. They set out to find it and were in awe when they found it. There has been countless magazine shoots. We are going to be seeing alot of this baby! With all the invites, I'm wondering when Art and Craig are going to get a chance to actually drive this thing let alone test it!
