Default Foundation One

I've mentioned Foundation One here ---- this is an expensive - not covered by insurance - Genomic Sequencing testing biz.....

https://www.foundationmedicine.com/g...foundation-one

$6,500 or so will get you a comprehensive result for which drugs will, or have, had good results with chemotherapy..... or if there are clinical trials specific to your type of cells.... or any other useful information that might help guide the docs (mostly yourself) to some form of treatment(s).

I had hoped mine would come back with a specific "mutation" that KEYTRUDA treats..... but no such luck. At least I know.

This is a 62 page 'report' -- but the box on the front page is all that is important initially...... and sadly mine sucks.

FIRST identifies mutations and markers.......

Sorry it's hard to read the columns ---- but basically it matches these mutations or markers with any KNOWN chemo treatment that works on it -- or clinical trials - Targeted therapy, etc. There are many TYPES of cancer -- Lung - Liver - Bone - but what's IMPORTANT is what cellular makeup is the cancer ---- because then you can really drill down on finding something known to be effective on THOSE CELLS !!

Hi Greg, Again I haven't been on this site in a while...but something told me I should log on.

I didn't expect to see these posts, but again I know that you are a fighter and will not give up. Cancer SO sucks...

It's good to hear that your most recent scans show no additional growth. Mayo is a great hospital with great docs, but sometimes they need to open their eyes to reality and alternate therapies. Like you, we've experienced these issues at Mayo as well.

Anyways, please let us know then next time you are out here. We'd love to meet up for a few minutes and say hi. BTW, Lynn and Holly say hi-and we all want you to take care

Hey buddy! Good to hear from you!

I'm so happy to hear Holly is doing great!

We'll be back down in September UNLESS I require some "intervention" or my liver stents need attention. I'm hoping I need neither.

The one thing people forget - and I don't expect anyone to remember my ailments - but the LIVER thing was going to kill me..... then the stent thing and it's issues was going to do me at some point (and not 10 years from now)..... and now this newest news. NONE OF IT has gotten me yet!! So F'it.

See ya soon Bruce! XOXO

PS --- I know it's a long ways from you --- but ADRIENNE is the Executive Chef at "The Salty Sow" ---- Tatum and Cactus area...... if you're over that way -- say hello!

I remember you telling us all about the liver issues, the stent issues and how they wouldn't be able to take it out, etc. Shows what they know

Our next door neighbor with the leukemia also used the oil that you sent him info on...He's doing okay, too! He's still not strong enough to do yard work, but that's why I live next door to him .

Greg, as far ass you coming out here....it sounds good! We will see you in September, then!
