In my quest to work on the car I decided that I would have the lower dash bracket powder coated for no reason other then personal because it is not like anyone will ever see it.

I also picked up some parts for the car from Midwest Hot Rods.

Since the headers are off and these where cheap I would install these exhaust port covers.

I need to make a few more holes so they would work.

Moving on to installing the harness and hope all of my planning pays off.

I plan to run the harness over the top of the steering column and secure it safely to the column mount.

so far so good

Picked up some needed parts from the local AutoZone. I used the door edge guard on the edges of the
steering column framework as I felt they could be a wear point for the harness.

Not sure why I always reverse the adell clamps but I just do and one day I will try to figure it out.

Okay so one wire needed to get pulled from the wrap and thankfully it was an easy fix.

Harness is in.

I even plugged in the cluster to make sure it worked. It did !!!

Calling it a night once again.

Finally and I mean finally I get to figure out where & how I am going to install the new Holley Terminator X.

The "X" is the newest box and it is significantly smaller then the last model.

After look

So I have been trying to figure out where the harness is going to exit & this is one possible location.

The plan to would be to tuck the wire behind the vintage Air unit hang them with adell clamps.

Mounting Bracket Idea.

I had Dennis at High Speed Welding make me the bracket for the Holley ECI.

Not sure if Kenny made this bracket or Vintage air supplied. Either way I am drilling a hole in it.

Quick trip to Ace Hardware for the necessary hardware and yes I will be using nylock nuts on the bracket as I would have to pull the dash to get to it if it came loose.

Mounted on the Vintage Air Bracket

Started plugging things in and it appears we are good to go.

And of course I need to get more of these to anchor the Holley Harness

On a side not I plan to install the lower dash dash to make sure it is hidden.

Default Finally Caught up

I want to keep the engine bay as original looking as possible so I am not trying to hide the wire. I need to order a new firewall wire gutter so I can route the body harness back to the factory location.

Now that I have determined the power leads for the ECU are going to exit the passenger side cowl and head directly to the battery I am going to have to remove the inner fender.

Time to take out the battery

and here is the billet Battery Tray we made for 2nd Gen Camaro's. I think I have a few left if anyone is interested and has no desire to put there battery in the trunk.

Good thing my inner fenders are carbon as I am certain this little bit of metal shaving would have caused them to start rusting.

Getting ready to remove the Carbon Inner Fenders. Nervous...Yep

So do you guys think I should consider line-x the inner fender to add a little more protection from flying debris ?

Holy crap getting the headlight buckets out was a bitch and then getting to the fender hardware sucked even more.

Finally the last three bolts are out and the lower valance is hanging low enough to get the inner fender out...I hope.

It's out and will need a safe home so I may consider bringing these to my warehouse and hiding it on a rack somewhere.

Finally easy access to the cowl.

I decided that I am going to have the carriage bolts powder coated black or do you guys think I should leave them chrome.

Not sure why I take pictures of the tools that I use but I do.

So I need to order some parts and of course I created another To Do list.

and finally the reward a Trip to Dairy Queen.
