Default Lovin' the new Car

Well Mark knew what he was doing when he built this car...

The thing can really scoot..

The lopey cam and side pipes give it the feel of '60s muscle.....I was concerned that the 400ish rwhp was going to be bit low....but with such a light car....it is proving to be plenty....the ride is stiff but not punishing...the 45 series tires grab and still help with the ride quality...with the larger tires in the back there is some understeer but a little right pedal brings the car back on line....

The s-curves is where the car really shines....the light weight and suspension set up lets the car fly from left to right with zero body roll and plenty of confidence...

Although the weather has been cool...the car doesn't even think about running hot...with the A/C on....it did hit 190 while in moderate traffic....

Driving through Malibu is an experience....typical Italian and German sports cars go un-noticed when this thing comes roaring by in 2nd gear.....

My list of things I was going to do to the car keeps getting shorter and shorter....I have to do something to put my thumbprint on it.....but if I didn't do anything....I would be happy....Only thing on the possible list is a lightweight flywheel as I feel like the care could spool a bit faster...also ordered HpTuners suite for the car just to check out the tune....

All in All.....Well done........

Good to hear someone got it who appreciates it! I know I thought it was a beautiful car and totally jealous when Mark was building it. Love to hear that is trumps the Malibu sports cars haha!

Have fun and enjoy it! More than understandable you want to put your mark on it as well!

Cool car for sure. You'll love the HP Tuners setup. They also have their own message board which can be a lot of help while you're learning.

Sounds great.. can't wait to check her out in person..

Oh, BTW.. LS1 engines like to run hotter than SBCs.. 190 is right in it's comfort zone and even 210 isn't hot. That's why LS1s tend to dyno higher on the second and third pulls.

It's very satisfying to hear positive feedback like that and I'm really glad you're enjoying the car! Fast sweeping curves were my favorite in that thing!!

Like Steve said, 190 is nothing for an LS1. I have to say that I wouldn't crack into that tranny for a different flywheel unless absolutely necessary. I lost any provisions for removing the shifter because the guy who did the interior insisted on attaching the shift boot to the carpet permanently. You would also have to somehow create an access hole in the carpet just to the right of the gas pedal to access the plug in a hole, which in turn, accesses the bleeder for the hydraulic clutch. You can see it from underneath the car up in the tranny well. The interior guy forgot to create a little flap for that, so I made him discount the job to make up for it.
