If you can do a Ceramic type barrier coating that insulates inside & out, you should. You can also then wrap the outside w/a secondary heat barrier (flexible exhaust wrap). Anything that helps prevent under hood heat from transferring which will impact the incoming air.

no sorry, not this car! I'm in Lewisville used to work in the grove back in '80 - used to be a GY on Buckner blvd. It was at a buddies shop north of Sanger got some of the bodywork done until he gave up on it and gave it back to me.
