Doesn't get much cleaner than this, the wheel fitment is also perfect! Can't wait to see how it does on the street & track.

Mark have ever had issues with the latch in the hood popping open at high speeds? I'm not sure if your using the original latch mechanism. I've noticed many car builders use hood pins and my father before me has warn me about the risk at high speeds. thanks sir.

I don’t like the look or function of hood pins. I have run a stock hood latch on most of my cars.

We ran a test at work to see the force on a hood latch on a 2008 CTSv at 190 mph. It was over 300 lbs of force trying to pull the latch open.

I have not had an issue with the stock latch with my Carbon Fiber hood. But we have a big steel reinforcement plate in the hood that the latch bolts into.

If you want to be 100% sure do some old school hood pins. I personally hate them.

I can say at 170 mph in my cars you can see the corners of the hood being forced up by the under hood pressure. Another reason I have hood vents.

Good luck!

Mark

Default Dash

Mark,

I like the finish on your dash - is that just an off the shelf crackle paint or something else?

This build is beautiful. So right in a subtle way, and not overdone. As someone who is trying to emulate much of what you've done in recent builds, one of the hardest things is to keep things simple and logical in both function and appearance.

It is our local powder coater wrinkle black powder coat. I like it. It does not scratch and gives a nice look.

Thanks, for the complement. I like simple complex things. This car has a lot going on but it looks fairly simple.

Matt and the gang at Sled Alley do a fantastic job with all the little details.

Mark

This is an incredible build! I can't even begin to imagine the amount of engineering and thought that went into this, but it looks just absolutely beautiful!!
