They all Suck!

I shipped a fairly valuable package to my New Granddaughter in June. It was in a box in a box in a box in a box with lots of padding. Of Course UPS damaged it!

I sent it through the Work account with extra Insurance, as I know our Rep. I have been fighting them ever since ( of course they it was mis-packed - I have the Burst Ratings on the boxes) then they said they didn't have the pictures, then said they didn't have the claim, etc!

Finally getting a Check Cut, supposed to be here next week

They are both unreliable at best. Next day air for delivery on a Friday and it shows up Monday. Not much good that does me for race car parts needed for a race on Sat/Sun. They have both fallen so far from the standards they once had.

I'm with you regarding Fed X. Once my package arrived at the local distribution facility, their tracking information said it was out for delivery. It still took 6 days to receive it. The day before it actually got delivered, a Fed X truck pulled into my driveway but left after sitting there for five minutes but did not leave my package. I chased him down the highway and he finally stopped at a traffic light where I jumped out of my truck and confronted him. He did not have the package on his truck even though his manifest said it was. He gave me his dispatcher's number and we had a long discussion about their service. I received the package the next day! Thanks for letting me rant.

For me, FedEx fell off last year when COVID hit and all the closures started. They had my supercharger for the BMW sitting in the next town over for six days. Mind you, this is metro Atlanta which means 5-10 miles away, maybe. I was patient because COVID. While they have gotten better, they're still slow compared to pre-COVID days. Before then, FedEx or UPS was great for me.

You know who's only gotten better in this time? Amazon. I wouldn't be surprised if they start taking third party deliveries in the next few years.
