Default Back to the Battery Terminals ( 12-18-21 )

Yes, I am still going back and fourth on this battery terminal mental block. I have even ordered another one that I hope to play with next week.

Comparing the two next to each other.

In order to reduce the number of ring terminals I am going to double up one of the grounds.

Default Finishing off the New New Fan Relay Wiring ( 12-18-21 )

Needed something quick and easy to finish when I went back out to the garage at 10pm. So I finished up the details on the relay wire tech flex wrap.

Since the wire is so small I am going to step the heat shrink so it looks like finished. The first layer of heat shrink (2 to 1 shrink ratio ) fits tightly before I hit it with the heat gun. This still needs to be trimmed to length which should roughly be 3/4 of an inch. Smaller if you want less to show and make sure you shrink this before moving on to the next step.

I then installed the tech flex sleeve and then a slightly larger piece of heat shrink (3 to 1 shrink ration) that fits over the tech flex and lays on the recently installed heat shrink. When everything is lined up hit it with the heat gun.

Another while I am here moment. ( 12-26-21 )

I finally get to make the final "Hot" connections in the passenger side cowl panel.

Don't every buy Animal Crackers as they are like CRACK !!!!!

Finishing up all of the passenger side grounds

Clean Up which means bed time or was it Taco time.

Default Finishing off 2021 by spending my Christmas cash on myself. ( 12-27-21 )

Since both my girls were home for the holidays I spent my free time with them instead of working on the car.

First project was to upgrade the hardware on the Customworks Performance SPC Control Arms. So I set up my makeshift desk and started
measuring bolts. It was quite relaxing and I think I need to get a computer for my garage because trying to find the correct ARP bolt on Summit's
website/app on my phone was a pain in the backside.

If anyone wants or needs a part # list shoot me a message.

So these are the last two wires that I need to connect to the brake light switch. One is from the DBW and the other is from
the transmission harness. I need to figure out which wire it needs to go to.

This was the last thing I worked on. I added the red wire into the loom and wrapped it with matching Tech-Flex wire wrap.

Thank you and if you are ever in the Chicagoland area hit me up as I love having company in my garage. On a side note I think I have redone my garage at least 4 times and this one has lasted the longest.

Default My ARP Hardware is Here !!!!! ( 01-5-22 )

I sincerely think ARP and Summit Racing are two of my favorite company's. I know I have spent a bunch with both of these company's over the years.

One would think with as much stainless steel hardware that I have installed that I would have remembered to put a little bit of anti-seize
on the bolt. Seriously all I was doing was just setting the nut on the bolt and I barely spun it on and it seize up.

Ugh !!!

If you followed this thread from the beginning you know this isn't the first time this has happened. So, I grabbed a larger
rachet and a much larger box end wrench and snapped the bolt.

I might as well install the arms since I have a couple hours before I call it a night.

and no more shims

I made sure to take a couple pictures of the shims that I used on the calipers.

I took the calipers off to reduce the weight of the spindle as I was trying to do this fast and easy.

Installed

Drivers side is on and it only took about 10 minutes.

For now I just stuck in two larger nuts as eventually I will be installing firewall strut braces.

When the arms were shipped the hardware kit didn't include washers which drives me nuts.

So I installed washers with the new hardware.

Once again these are the tools that came out to perform this job.

I am sure the box of Dots was from Halloween as they were a little hard but still good.

Default Holley EFI Tank Remes Autobody ''WOW'' (01-17-22 )

I dropped the Holley Tank off at Remes Autobody to get painted gloss black as I didn't like the idea of the tank being silver/gray in the back of
the car. When I went back to pick up the tank I was expecting a nice simple black paint job. Well this is far from simple. Once again they went
above and beyond and wow is all I can say. It is simple stunning and the crazy part is it matches the powder coating that the guys at Pro-Tek
Powder Coating applied almost perfectly.

Default My OCD is getting the best of me. ( 01-17-22 )

I want to make the car as easy to work on as possible so, I am spending a little bit of time now that will hopefully save me time in the future.

If you go way back you will see that I ran all of the wires that go into the trunk through the drivers side rear quarter. This enabled me to pull
the wires out through "B" pillar vent. Which made it easy to wrap each wire loom individually and pass it over the wheel tub into the trunk.

Eventually I moved over to the wires in the trunk.

I used weather pack connectors on all connections.

Of course I labeled everything.

I had hoped to finish this project but unfortunately it was late and I needed to get up early in the morning so I called it a night.

side note.
Yep, I actually got stuck in the trunk when I was doing this and nope I couldn't reach my phone to call my wife to help me get unstuck.

Eventually, I just relaxed for a couple minutes (which felt like an eternity) and I was able to unwedge my elbow from the rear quarter.
