I changed my mind on the Mightmouse catch can routing, so now the fitting was on the wrong end of the valve covers. Since I needed the passenger side cover to stay on that side for easy access to the oil fill I was contemplating buying new valve covers. Fortunately I came up with an option I could live with, swapping a #12 ORB plug where the fitting used to be, and drilling the hole up front where it belongs.
