V6?
Why a V6 and not a V8?
I had a 90 Fox body with the stock 5.0, e-heads and intake, Steeda cam, etc with a Paxton blower and it was a rocketship!

To build a better 'all rounder' so to speak.
The idea is a European style sport coupe in the vein of the M3, XR4, etc..
The Duratec makes 305hp at 6,500rpm with a redline of 7,000, yet with the cruise set, it should pull a good 30+mpg.
Not to mention, the engine and trans ran me $1K (less than a set of heads for the old 302, and way less than a Coyote would run).

I have never been a Ford fan, had a F150 that always left me stranded as a teenager, I have a 88 GT Vert, that was completely rebuilt buy a previous owner, new everything, but he wrecked it, so, I've rebuilt it, basic 5.0 and a reskinned front end,
but I think this will be a really cool car, eurosports cruiser, I like the V6 idea, what about the ecoboost??
I'll be watching,

I thought about the Ecoboost 6, but I think it's more than I want to contend with. Yeah, it's 100hp more, but it's also a lot of plumbing.
Then again, maybe down the road I'll put the standard V6 in my Miata...
I'm also thinking of putting Merkur emblems on it and calling it a XR6gt. LOL
