If that's the case general question regarding engine cooling, could you set the record straight & let some of us know what the fan settings you would recommend using dual fans and a 187 degree thermostat for our street cars using LS engines putting out around 500hp, N/A, wet sump. Thanks in advance.

It is a good idea to get your engine oil temp up to above 212F to get the moisture out of it.

We did a project at work that always had very low oil temp with poor PVC. Water condensation in the engine caused rust on the rods and the valve springs. Since then I always wanted a good PVC system and hope to get the oil temp up for general cruising.

I usually do PWM fans so they ramp in. We usually turn them on at 190 and are full power at 220F. I’ll need to look at an old cal to confirm but that seems close.

I hope that answers your question.

Mark

Default Hobbs Camaro (Old Drag Car)

Vintage Air has a new under condenser. It is a injecton molded part like a factory part. Vintage Air also make a/c systems for some
Nice factory cars.

Matt at Sled Alley made a very cool mount for the new unit.

I purchased 5 styles. These seemed like the best ones for my application.

It's coming along! The attention to detail is amazing!

Thanks for the link to the isolators. I'm ordering some for the radiator in BISKWIK!
