Thanks for the kind words Marty.

If anyone is in the process of wiring their car, please post questions about the Hardwire PDM 28. This thing will basically handle all of the vehicle functions, although I made a conscious decision to leave the fuse panel and the bulkhead connector in place. However, the only thing that it will handle is the front and rear lighting. All other systems are getting moved to the PDM.

With the Holley Dominator and TurboLamik communicating over CAN, and now the PDM also on the CAN bus, some really trick things are going to be possible.

Andrew, not going to lie, you got me considering the PDM 28 as i'm changing all wiring in my car. Want to have a discussion on the benefits to be had. I already have moved away from the bulkhead, so all wiring would be going through the PDM (lights/etc included).

Keep in mind that unless you leave the PDM on all the time, circuits that would have been on the battery side of the fuse panel will be off. PDM28 draws about 150ma when on, even not doing anything.

Putting a 28 in my car and all of the "battery" items will stay on the OE fuse panel. Everything else will run through the PDM. That short list includes but is not limited to:

1. Headlight Feed
2. Tail/Park/Dome Feed
3. Hazard Feed
4. Radio
5. Trunk Release
6. Gauge Feed (bat) (Dakota Digital)

Also worth noting, 28 circuits sounds like a lot but for a street car it really isn't. Especially if you want to keep circuits separate.

Andrew, I'd be interested in knowing more about the PDM. Saw a segment on PowerNation TV that they're using one in their track Camaro, but it was more of an ad than anything.

In simple terms the PDM takes the place of the fuse panel and handles all of the switching functions that a bank or relays would handle. The PDM 28 has 28 individual circuits that can be used as needed.

If the circuit protection is tripped, the PDM can be programmed to automatically attempt resets. All circuits can also be monitored in real time and also datalogged for troubleshooting purposes.

Please ask specific questions and I am happy to answer them.

Andrew
