Default 2023 Escalade V LT5 vs ZR1 LT5

I stumbled on ad for someone selling a Cadilac LT5 supercharger and was surprised, didn't know that was a thing. I'm guessing the person was swapping for a Kong 2650 from a ZR1, but it got me searching the internet which led to more questions in my mind. So the offering from Cadillac comes with the 10 speed GM transmission and "only 682 HP" which begs the question of course, where are the differences that lose 73 HP vs the ZR1. Is it throttle body, tuning or what? Still the same direct and port injection or is it really an LT4 with the bigger 2650 supercharger? Are the superchargers the same height? I'm guessing the escalade is a wet sump design but didn't find any real information on that, or articles explaining the differences. If the new LT5 in the Caddy is a detuned ZR1 maybe there's a comeback for the crate engines at some point. Anyone have insight to differences and future of this V version of the Escalade LT5? (Mark.....)

Based on this article, that sounds like a great blower if you give it lots of airflow

good article, thanks. A discussion on HP tuners forum says it's an LT4 with the LT5 supercharger. From this picture there are some noticeable differences. Based on the dipstick and oil filler hole it's a wet sump engine. There's a coolant manifold on the front of the supercharger that appears to have a bleeder valve. The 2 vents from the valve covers appear to join in a T and enter the intake near the throttle body. I can't tell much more from the picture here.https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...alade-v-drive/
