I want to do an electric e-brake on my 69 with the Heidts rear IRS, but they are awful proud of it. Over $1,000 from Heidts for the parts to do it. I might try to buy the calipers and make my own brackets, then all I would need is the actuator and cables.

Hey Skip

Well, I am back on it and the more I dig into the issues with the trans. The more I regret it.

So the trans is garbage and the Wagner motor is also junk. It’s leaking everywhere and the hypothesis is the a few of the rings are bad or broken.

I am going to pull the trans and give it to a different trans shop to look at it. Even though the I plan to buy a new engine and transmission.

If you look way back in the beginning of the build I used this set up to get the trans out.

Since the trans pan is beautifully powder coated I am going to put a stamped steel pan on for removal.

I’m so sorry to hear about your misfortune, Marty. It seems like when you get a couple steps forward, something jumps up and sets you back ten. Hopefully you can get it sorted quickly and without breaking the bank. Good luck to you!
