I am a welder/fabricator, machinest, with the knowledge to do many other things. I attend a welding school just to get my certifications and also attended motorsoprts school. I have found that no one wants to pay the good help so I stay in the areospace job shops that way I can build the types of cars that I think should be built.

i think you'll find that if you are really as good as you think you are ( and i am not saying by any means that i am the best, far from it ) and have the propper work ethic because being good is only part of the package, you will be able to make good money (if that is all that is important to you) but i bet if you took a poll of all the shop owners on this board and ask if they do this for the money you will find 99.9% say NO WAY it's about the cars!!!

i just interviewed a guy and was willing to pay him ALOT of money with benifets beacause he is GOOD, he decided to stay at his current empolyer for other reasons for the time being.
it is very difficult to compete with other companies like areospace for instance because of the mega bucks they have trust me if every car we built sold for 4-600K and there was 200K profit ands the customer sill got good VALUE we could compete and win cuz what we do is WAYYYY COOLER!
