CRC, Chevy2boy, Thanks!
Its always nice to get your beat pumped up!
Here are some pics of the tubs...
http://s138.photobucket.com/albums/q251/Leadfoot1969/
Yo will notice there is a strip of the original tubs still in place attaching to different brackets. We decided to keep that piece of the "Structure" in place in order to keep some of the original rigidity of the -as built- car intact. It might not look important, but there are many differences between a Convertible and a HT. The way its done sure doesn't help on the "Show" side...But makes up for it in strenght.
I will finish weld everything (1" passes here and there) and then grind and fill everything to a nice finish.
I have decided to cage it.................But no main hoop showing out of the cockpit, its all going to be below the door height and probably from the trunk to under the hood, joining the rockers to the frame connector and rails.
I'm starting to really know what i want it to look like now....Its weird. Usually i know ahead of playing what its going to look like in the end. But this one...Its an "Adjust as i go" thing.
At least, i think its not "Going" too bad!!!
Lead.

Oh, and hey, Cam, I wanted to ask; Have you modded your convertible brackets to lower your top or if you'r using Franks? I'm waiting to get a set from him so i can fold my top down as it won't now (well at least not all the way).
Looking forward to dropping everything down with/ on this car!

Hey Customcam,
Sorry for the long delay on the anwser! Got your reply and had an emergency then totally forgot 'bout this thread... Hey thanks for the props!
I' m not sur eyet on the color. Really like black for this one (triple that!) My oldest girl (4) wants Red again...Not on this, + i think it wouldn't be cool with the wheels. I like silver but think its kind of a "Dull" color then i alway's said i'd never have a blue car, and while not exactly blue, (kinda acqua to it) i'm getting to like that blueish. I like the old fathom blue or the other one, Lemans. I think it cuts nicely with the top in black, is not too violent, passes thru time easily (does not go out of style), is a calming color etc...I would see it with a black (well, new) interior, and a black hockey stripe. The interior will have all Autometer Carbon Fiber gauges and accents where i can (if its looking good, no toy looking stuff) So maybe a new CF hood too...
I'm even surprised typing that much on that build???!!!! Just realised i'm getting all revved up on that color again!! Damn, i think i really like that.
Anyway, black is my first idea.
I'm getting ready to order some ATS spindles and SC&C A arms i think, also a new Wilwood tandem M-Cylinder.
Worked on it a bit yesterday but my back is limiting me...Didn't even get the tires mounted yet 'cause of that! I'm dying here!!! I tried to install one of the modified top bracket Frank sent me and didn't finish one side....
Any new stuff on yours?
