Where in the wide, wide world of sports are you located? It looks like you can bring out your lawn mower, set it on the grass, crank it, turn it off and you are done! I wanna live there!!

I love the way the ride sounds, great progress!! Congratulations.

Thanks guys for all the comments... I'm sure many of you know the feeling of working for months... years... on a project, and this was about the 1 year mark for me and it was really sweet to be moving around the block! I'm in sunny southern California by the way, and the house is kind of a weird setup with all the garages opening out to a rear alley. The motor is a Ram Jet 502 crate, with 3" pypes exhaust and Spin Tech mufflers. They are currently dumping out in front of the axle, because I couldn't get them to run over the axle - figured I'd take it to the muffler shop later and have them do it.

When I first tried to get it going, it wouldn't go into gear - I had to pull the whole trans and adjust the clutch fork pivot ball. Thankfully, after 6 hours of surgery, it can go around the block just fine now...

Now on to the bodywork...

Default sounds

Ok, Jake I went back tonight and did a video to capture some more sounds. I didn't have any more DV tapes, so I used my digital camera. Thus, there's not really any picture - it's really dark. It's also like 15MB, so dial-up user beware. But, I think it sounds...sweet. Check it out:

Sweet Sounds

Wow...I can almost smell the dead dinos smokig out those pipes!

Thanks for the second video. I could put that on loop and use it to fall asleep at night! Hey, I might play that at work today on the work pc and see what people think when they walk past.

Congrats Tom! That has to be one of the best feelings out there! Of course, it helps having family that backs you up 100%. It's that kind of enthusiasm that makes this hobby all that much better!
