Default Calling 67-68 Camaro guys with autometers in stock gauge panel...

Hey guys,

when you mount your autometers you do pull them through the front and then attach them to the back side.

I bought a set of stewart warners b/c I like the look of the gauges a little more and if you pull them through the front there is a huge gap on the bottom so I think i'm going to have to get creative somehow make them flush on the backside.

Any suggestions?

Derek

Yes,on the 5" autometers they go in from the front and attach on the back side. They fit real snug and kinda look like they belong there.
Wish I knew how to send larger pic.sorry

Can you post pictures? I just purchased a set of the SW gauges because I wanted an 8,000 rpm tachometer. You've got me worried.

I had mine mounted from the backside. I gutted the original guage housing and modified it to mount the guages from the back side. Much cleaner look.

Mine were also mounted from the back side. I like the depth.

The SWs look so dumb from the front because they stick out so much more, i'm guessing they are a little bit bigger than the autometers, sucks because I paid a little bit more for them also.

I can try to get some pictures for you guys.
