Eric -- It's a 427 block from the factory... 4.240" bore... jus like they made 'em back in 69 for the world famous, ultra rare ZL-1 Camaros....

I did know it was the 427 block reproduced and improved but did not know what the deal was for max displacement. Very cool indeed!

The max is 508 cubic inches. It will be a 489 since my SRP forged pistons are in good shape. Just need a polish. At the end of the day, I decided that this made the most sense for my car and my application. This ain't no drag car. That's another project! I'll have some updates with all the trick parts and machining..........

Does it require a re sleeve to get it up to 508 inches? I ask because of the max bore and stroke advertised on the web site that Rodger gave a link for.

Either way you slice it, the lighter block and I am sure there will be a bit more power this will make for a really kick ass package for your car!
