I hope Hot Rod TV makes an episode or two out of the event.

It would probably make it watchable.

You thought working turn signals was crazy, I received the e-mail today requesting a working cigarette lighter, no such frills in the Fairlane. And the car is already loaded up and on it's way to S E M A. I suggested they use data acquisition with a display to help eliminate variables. I have an Autometer hall effect electric speedo, it works, it's close, but it ain't perfect! I guess we are on the honor system for the 0 - 60 - 0 part.

We're wiring in a light plug tomorrow, we could use the on broad Track-Mate to data log or Steve how about the radar gun and compute set-up you guys use for the magazine testing? The radar gun deal would be a ton fast to do instead of moving Racepak units from car to car.

I could score the radar (that's how we do it).. but I'm fuzzy on how to use it. I could ask Nick...

I have a Racepack and my speedo is 'sorta' accurate.. will most likely try to score a GPS device for speed.

I put in a 12v plug a LONG time ago... glad I did now.

The IQ3 dash in the '67 uses an internal GPS for the speedo so it should be ok (I hope). I can't see how it would be any different from anything else (?) that they would plug in. It's going to have to do... we're scrambling like ants all over the car right now to get in into the trailer tonight...

See everyone in a few days

I heard back from Jimi today, the cigarette lighter is no big deal, they will have aligator clips and a fuse panel adaptor available.

The radar idea is awsome. With everybodys speedo being just a little different, and the drivers eye on the speedo, the radar would eliminate a couple of variables for an event that will be timed to the hundredth of a second.

If you can get the radar Steve I'll help you guys run it if needed.

Doug

Default Event time

Steve

What time does the race start? Do you know how long it will last? We have to be at the airport at 4pm and I need to know if I should change our flight.
