Noooo that is a huge bummer. We're sorry that happened but its good to see you are already taking measures to rebuild it again rather than calling it quits. We wish you luck with the new chassis!

Thanks! It is/was a bummer but I'm pretty excited about this new one. I'm hoping to be able to drive it before winter. Will be presentable enough to post in a few days.

Well, the new and improved Cherokee is finished enough to show off and drive! This was a tremendous amount of work in 4 months but worth it. Still needs some work on the interior and engine bay but I have over 100 miles on it now. Seems to be pretty strong on 4 psi. The new hot side seems to have sped up spool even more, full boost at 1400 rpm. And seems to handle very well. Looks like today was the last nice day of the year before winter so now I have all winter to rest and finish it at a much slower pace.

Quick specs:
1975 Cherokee S wide trac
Lift off fiberglass front end with stock hood
1969-70 Plymouth B5 Blue Fire paint by Autocraft Custom Collision in Muskegon MI
12 point chromemoly cage by Total Fab in Hastings MI
'67-72 C10 frame shortened 17", reverse Z'ed 4" front, notched rear
No Limit Wide Ride front suspension with Ridetech single adjustables
Coilover rear with reinforced trailing arms and adjustable height locator bar
2010 Challenger 5.7 HEMI and TR6060 6 speed
Holley HP EFI
Bullseye Street Billet S366 turbo, JGS 50mm wastegate and bov
Flowtech LSx turbo headers with custom adapter plates to bolt to hemi
Full stainless hot side and exhaust
Full floater 9" rear with 4.56 gears and Detroit locker with Ron Sutton springs
275/40zr17 Continental ExtremeContact Sports on 17x11 ZR1s on all 4 corners

Gorgeous! Love the whole look. What a great way to recover from what transpired with the red one. Good job on getting this on the road so quickly.

Thanks guys! I've got 190 miles on it now just driving around locally. Very lucky that they haven't put salt on the roads where I'm at. No major issues so far, should be ready to road trip come Spring. Seems to handle very well for a Jeep.

Yep, you've got the right idea. I don't know of anyone else that's done a Z to raise one so I kind of made up the term. The new suspension sat 4" lower than what I had before which was a major no-go. I didn't want to mess up the geometry by jacking up the coilovers so out came the sawzall again.

Looking good. I saw you at the corner of 84th and M37 the other day. Hopefully I'll run into you again at some events next summer.

Awesome! It's seen a lot of miles between Caledonia and Hastings in the last week. Hopefully some nice days coming up next week to do it again. I talked to you up in Ignace this year, gorgeous Camaro! I'll have to get a hold of you when we have cruises.
