Default Measure Twice Cut Once ( 12-09-21 )

Yep, I screwed up and cut the hose to short

I installed the DEI Fire Sleeve on the fuel line and I doubt I will be cutting the fuel line as I already screwed up once today.

This time I am going to use my green paracord.

Default 2nd Chance Camaro - Let the Project Begin

The one's that DSE offers and it is really nice looking

I finally made the time to finish off all of the wire terminations.

I'm making sure all of the wires are long enough and I will need to replace these ring terminals as they are not the correct size.

I did find some covers for the DSE terminals.

Since the Shifter will be going in soon I figured it was time to look for the harness and I had tucked it up neatly under the dash.

I really want the Radiator Cover from Anvil so I am adding this to my Christmas list and hoping my wife buys it for me.

Not my car the picture is for reference.

Default I am blaming Ron for this ( 12-14-21 )

So, I have wanted these upper control arms since I started building the car. After talking with Keith at Custom Works Performance
for years I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a set. I also ordered a set of Tall Ball Joints and once I received them I ordered some
ARP Hardware.

They sure are pretty and no more pivot shaft shims.

Yes, I am replacing the hardware.

I picked up some zinc coated grad 8 washers since one of the arms was missing the pivot shaft washers.

Default Back to the Battery Terminals ( 12-18-21 )

Yes, I am still going back and fourth on this battery terminal mental block. I have even ordered another one that I hope to play with next week.

Comparing the two next to each other.

In order to reduce the number of ring terminals I am going to double up one of the grounds.

Default Finishing off the New New Fan Relay Wiring ( 12-18-21 )

Needed something quick and easy to finish when I went back out to the garage at 10pm. So I finished up the details on the relay wire tech flex wrap.

Since the wire is so small I am going to step the heat shrink so it looks like finished. The first layer of heat shrink (2 to 1 shrink ratio ) fits tightly before I hit it with the heat gun. This still needs to be trimmed to length which should roughly be 3/4 of an inch. Smaller if you want less to show and make sure you shrink this before moving on to the next step.

I then installed the tech flex sleeve and then a slightly larger piece of heat shrink (3 to 1 shrink ration) that fits over the tech flex and lays on the recently installed heat shrink. When everything is lined up hit it with the heat gun.

Another while I am here moment. ( 12-26-21 )

I finally get to make the final "Hot" connections in the passenger side cowl panel.

Don't every buy Animal Crackers as they are like CRACK !!!!!

Finishing up all of the passenger side grounds

Clean Up which means bed time or was it Taco time.

Default Finishing off 2021 by spending my Christmas cash on myself. ( 12-27-21 )

Since both my girls were home for the holidays I spent my free time with them instead of working on the car.

First project was to upgrade the hardware on the Customworks Performance SPC Control Arms. So I set up my makeshift desk and started
measuring bolts. It was quite relaxing and I think I need to get a computer for my garage because trying to find the correct ARP bolt on Summit's
website/app on my phone was a pain in the backside.

If anyone wants or needs a part # list shoot me a message.

So these are the last two wires that I need to connect to the brake light switch. One is from the DBW and the other is from
the transmission harness. I need to figure out which wire it needs to go to.

This was the last thing I worked on. I added the red wire into the loom and wrapped it with matching Tech-Flex wire wrap.

Thank you and if you are ever in the Chicagoland area hit me up as I love having company in my garage. On a side note I think I have redone my garage at least 4 times and this one has lasted the longest.
