I wasn't too clear in my original message, so let's see if I can get my thoughts across.
Right now it looks like I will trailer the car to arrive LV early Monday. So, I need to be able to drop the car off the trailer and get it into the Coral on Monday (thanks Todd, I forgot about that paragraph.) Todd, are you planning on driving your car from your house to SEMA on Monday? If so, you need to get back home. Perhaps I can follow you in my truck/trailer, we put both cars in the building, and then we ride in the truck/trailer back to your house. Or, I drop the car off the trailer at your place, we drive/drop at SEMA, and get ride back to your place? Let me know your thoughts. I'll PM you my cell number if you would like to discuss.
Since I'm driving the car from SEMA to Pahrump I need to figure a way to get my truck/trailer to Pahrump on Friday, MAYBE. This is where the logistics get a bit sticky depending upon where I stay. Let's see how things flow over the next day or two before getting neck-deep.
Curt, are you staying in Pahrump on Friday/Saturday? If so, and you have the room, I may take you up on storing the car in your trailer at night. If it's at all a problem, just say so. I do not want to be in the way.

Carl, I am staying with Todd--I can drive the truck and trailer to the track for you. Dave can follow in my car. We are all attending the event.

Thanks for the phone call Doug. I really appreciate it.
Thank you to everyone for the encouragement. It's going to be fun!
Blake, I'm with you on the departure time. Two hours to go five miles from SEMA to the freeway is a good test, eh?

Carl --
First - congratulations!
Second -- True story. Some buddies and I were doing the Spring Mountain driving lessons... and upon checking into the Best Western one buddy asks the petrified geriatric desk clerk -- What's the major industry in Pahrump besides casinos? Her prompt response "hookers".
I thought I was going to pee my pants. She was dead serious.

I spent a lot of time soul searching over the weekend and came to the conclusion that it did not make a lot of sense for me to spend the money it would have taken to make the event. My wife was not in favor either. She stresses when I travel anyway and suffers from migraines and has been having a lot of trouble with them lately. Add to that a two year old running around demanding constant attention. Needless to say, timing just was not right, especially with fairly short notice.
I fully expected to get a lot of crap from you guys for turning down a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thanks to everyone for not rubbing it in. Thanks also to Scott for first offering me the opportunity and for his graciousness when I had to back out.
I wish I were a west coast guy right now. Best of luck to Carl. Scott made a great choice. At least you have the right car. A red Camaro and it's not a 69!

Yep, I'm driving mine down that day and I could hitch a ride back home with you and you could drop the trailer at my place. I'm undecided on whether I'll take my trailer out to the event Saturday morning.
