Just call work and resign... and then kick back and make a trip out of it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Based on new information --- I'd like to modify my original "Guesstimate" for driving hours vs time allotted.

4.5 days to make a 10 day trip.....

Not in a million years would I have thought this would happen with a 30 year old Ford that you paid $1000 for.....

I say enjoy the journey and if it leaves you stranded in Oklahoma, crush it and fly home. I'm sure there is a good Chevy truck you could by somewhere near San Francisco.

Default Just got a text from Dave

They are about to leave the garage and go get Ron's car. Thought they were going to be here in Charlotte Sunday night, that has moved to Monday night. I am guessing mid-day Tuesday myself.

Might be worth picking up a 5 gal fuel jug for backup.

And a six pack of oil.

Can't wait for this one to commence!
Well there was potentially a major hole blown in my calculations not too long ago when I found out the Big Rig has a 17 gallon tank............

17 x .75 = 12.75 (?) x ? = ? (assuming sediment in the tank)

3400 / ? = ? refills

? x = ? gal x $3.35 -? / 3400 = $0.56 per mile (assuming it accepts regular)

? / ? = ? hours per tank
