We have some property up north where we plan to put a 40x60 to keep some of our lesser-used toys in and my only worry with steel buildings is the tales I hear of "tin snip bandits" simply cutting their way in...Of course if someone wants to get in, they are gonna get in, but I don't want to make it any easier for them, either...I was thinking about getting one with extra-thick steel at least on the lower sections...

Thanks!
I had contracted it to a local place that does a lot of buildings in my area, as I didn't have the time nor the experience. I can't say enough about the quality.
I get compliments all the time, especially from guys in the construction trade.
If someone wanted in, it would be easiest to bust out a door. (That is what alarms are for....
) All the steel on my building is screwed on (versus nailed), but with the finished interior, there are so many stringers that getting in through a wall would be tough.
My walls look like this on the outer side.
Then it was insulated.
Before the interior steel, they ran another set of stringers for the inside steel to attach to. (Hard to see in this pic)
Like you stated, if they want in...they'll find a way. If the gun range in the back yard doesn't deter them, maybe the trained sniper next door will?
Thanks again and good luck!
