ISIS Intelligent Multiplex Wiring Interview / Demo SEMA 2008

The basic ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System (kit) includes all of the wiring that you will need for most installations. At this point you still have to build your own terminations at the loads but you could also go into your existing harness if you wanted to. Jay and the guys at ISIS are working on a couple of things to streamline the kit for musclecar and other applications.

With the optional InTOUCH unit you can indeed go with no auxiallary switches. In the OneLapCamaro that is the direction that we have gone.

I can not say enough good things about the ISIS System and the great support that the company has provided me during the installation. The flexibility and overall potential of the system honestly makes it second to none with respect aftermarket wiring solutions.

Just so there is full disclosure - I am sponsored by ISIS and am using it in the '67. I did install the entire system - myself - in about 20 hours (not counting fabricating brackets and panel mounts). I have had zero electrical issues with the car since it was 'finished' for SEMA and I will certainly use an ISIS kit on my next build.

Hi guys -

Just to clarify...The 3 box system (1 mastercell and 2 powercells) comes with wiring for 50 inputs (Mastercell), 20 outputs (10 per Powercell) and the can bus cables to connect everthing together.

If you have existing wires...you can connect them to the ISIS wires.
If you don't have wires...you can run the ISIS wires to the desired length to you output.

ISIS is just that flexible and makes wiring that easy.

Guys I went by their booth at SEMA and I have to say this is a very trick setup! I got a pretty long demo on it and I have to say it sure looks like it would help wire a car faster, cleaner, and be able to diagnose any problems you might have.

Sounds like cool product but not sure if all that technology is needed on a basic Hot Rod?
Reading through some of the pages it notes that it shuts down if it gets too hot or if the battery goes low? Does it go into a limp home mode or are you dead in the water? Anybody ever have one shut down? How many systems out there running and driving with miles on them.

No I'm not a dealer...I actually work for Littelfuse...ISIS is a brand of Littelfuse.

Our demo units just returned on Friday from SEMA...if you would like to see ISIS up-close...let me know and I'll make myself available.

Hi Brian -

There are several options to address your concern if a problem occurs.

1. There is a limp home mode if a "major" problem were to occur.
2. ISIS has the capability to "Load Shed" if desired. As ISIS continuously monitors the battery, if the alternator were to fail and the battery started to loose power...ISIS can shed "Non-critical" functions (i.e radio, amps, etc) in order to get you home.

man!!!! isis freaking awesome.
its like everytime there is a question/fear. its was already thought about and delt with.
I really cant seem to find one negative about it or advantage a traditional wiring harness has over it.
