Just bought a Hotchkis TVS kit, and am almost convinced into a mini tub. Do I need a narrowed F. Tank and offset shackles, or can I use the kit and tub without any more rear end suspension?

Did not end up getting the TVS kit, am a couple of weeks from the car on the ground. The tires are a 275 on 10's in the rear and am interested in more rear suspension ideas. Saw a Fatman Fab write up in S. Chevy about a coilover relocation but cannot find out anymore ifno. Help

If you do a mini tub with offset shackles you will need a narrowed fuel tank. I have a special going right now for Rick's Stainless EFI tanks for $1085 Shipped normally $1295 plus shipping. Price is good until feb. 26th.

I would recommend doing the mini tub as it will allow the room needed and will allow you to put bigger tires underneath later if you decide to. Just put in the deep tubs and offset shackles and you will be good.

I would stay away from FatMan stuff. There are many better products out there.

works with or with out mini tub you could even install it before you mini tubbed it and come back later and do the mini tub.
no cutting of the floor and minimal welding

I am running this set up complete with subframe. very nice piece.

I would take the time a PLAN the project like Frank recommended. these projects snow-ball in a hurry. My first Camaro doubled in cost and time. I tried to save money at first. leaf springs etc.

here's a free opinion

1) mini-tub the car now- you won't regret it

2) stop trying to save money running leafs- there are many suspension kits on this board that are complete- with housings- I would go with a 9" Ford.

again - get a plan together, figure out what you want to do then go from there- MOST projects don't get finished because lack of planning and finances - a good plan is key.
