I think everyone is correct in that for the money the vette is the better car. We had a car show downtown last night and I am definately NOT a corvette guy. I can't see myself in matching tshirt, caps, shorts, etc with corvette logo on everything, lol. I guess I'll have to wait till the end of the year and see where things go.

I'd have to agree with Charley -- you're either a Camaro guy - or a Vette Guy...

Personally - I think they quite making Vettes in '68.... and I'd LOVE to have a new Camaro.... but like many folks here -- no way in hell would I pay one nickel near MSRP. That's for suckers...

Having said all that - and more - :>) - The new Vettes are phenomenal cars for the money... but that new Camaro body - and with a back seat.... is hard to beat!

Okay -- BUY 'EM BOTH!!

EEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I had a 2008 Vette and now I have a 2010 ss/rs Camaro. You really feel the weight difference on the Camaro. If you don't have kids, get the Vette. It's an awesome car. If you have kids, get the Camaro. Take the money you saved and start upgrading the performance....good luck, you'll enjoy either choice...
ps - if your over 6' tall, don't get a sunroof in the Camaro.

Buy the vette, not only are they nearly the same price, the resale value on the vette will be much higher over the long haul. I find it hard to beleive that they can sell the Camaro for the money they are asking for them.

The guys that do that are just in a mid life crisis and want the world to know they drive a vette. I drive a vette but then again I dont fit in with the average vette crowd being I am in my 20s and not my 50s.

If you can afford 45K then look for a used C6 Z06.

I hear ya. I'm not really a "vette" guy neither. Don't get me wrong, nice cars. Really nice cars actually, with great performance, especially if you're talking about a Z06.
But, you can get a 2010 Camaro for sticker. If you go to camaro5.com, there are TONS of great info/forums on these cars. PLEASE!! DO NOT pay over MSRP for these cars!! These "so-called" dealerships that are literally ripping off these people by marking them up 3-10K will eventually have to go down in price. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!!

I sold my cherry 01 C5 triple black convertible for parts..... There is an old man on every corner around here with a Corvette. I like to be different in the toy department. That being said, I would have no problem with a Z06 for a daily driver. I need 4 doors unfortunately!

I paid GMS for my Camaro, if you can find a dealer that will give you GM friends and family, pm me and I send you a discount.
