Default New camaro vs corvette

My wife and I went to our local chevy dealer to look at the new camaro. They have several on the lot but wont budge from 3K over sticker even if you were willing to wait and order one. This seems to be the norm for all of the dealers within 300 miles of here. Looking at other dealer inventory I found that the 09 corvettes have some great incentives and an 09 with the Z51 suspension package and dual mode exhaust etc can be had for 8K under sticker at 44k. Not much more than a 2SS/RS camaro. Am I nuts in thinking the corvette is a much better car for the money? They are both going to be just used cars in a couple years are they not?

i am facing the same decision myself and im leaning very much towards the vette...plus not one dealer will even let me test drive the camaro unless i sign a deal to buy because there trying to convince me no one will buy there Camaros without having 0 miles on them...and after sitting in the Camaro im not convinced that closed in feeling and lack of visability will grow on me!

3000 over sticker lol tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine even for 1 cent over . if u really want the camaro there are dealers selling for sticker if u look . but honestly i would much rather have any c5 or c6 if u find a nice used one you will save quite a bit of money and have 3 times the car . and yes i have driven both.

Don't think twice...get the vette. I just got rid of my 04 C5 and picked up a new 09 1lt vette in cyber gray with chrome wheels. It's awesome.

I paid 38,600 and it stickered for 49 something, but I think I got an exceptional deal.

Anyway, I haven't driven the new camaro but I think it would be hard pressed to out perform the vette.

Most people either are or aren't Vette guys. If you are a Camaro guy and really want a Camaro, just wait a couple months....They were asking 10K over MSRP a couple months ago....Prices are dropping.

The 2 cars dont even compare! The new camaro is a tank. The most any camaro should be is 30K since you can get a vette for 40. The new camaros are cool and all but a vette is a vette. I paid 40116$ for mine brand spankin new and I got 0% financing.
