Man that sucks, that would be my greatest fear when I get my car on the road.

Hope the guy is okay.

first time on the track with a fresh non sorted car?

Parts of the story must be missing. Theres no way anyones stupid enough to take a fresh car thats newly built and COMPETE with it without doing some track testing.

Otherwise, darwinism at its best. Either way thats a shame.

Are the brakes for sale?

no its simple, he practiced 1 session, then qualified with the car, then raced, so I guess he had 25 laps on the car. He did not go 2 feet in when he started going off track, which led to gaining speed, then hitting the wall, i was there and saw it. it was turn 8-9, he was partially driving with his rear view as there was a super unlimited car behind him.
I talked with him for 10-15 mins after he settled down.
this is nasa pro racing, not a track day.

I understand that its pro racing. Was the car sorted and had he done any testing whatsoever in the car before this event? Or was it the first outing all together?

I don't care how much experience the guy may have racing Nasa, it just seems pretty silly to compete in a fresh car you've barely driven.

Regardless, live and learn, I'm sure he can afford it.
