Hey I am not knocking the car in any way its a great car and the guy that won got the better end of the deal if Frank did not buy it back. I would have not sold it for that and bought it back. He lost big time if it really sold.
I have been building high end cars for many years and I alway tell guys the same thing. Unless you have more money then you know what to do with build a car that everyone wants so that if you go to sell it you can make some good money on it. If you want a Pontiac and have deep pockets then build the car you want. If you are looking to build a car and drive it for a few years and sell it buy what sells good.
When you build a car for yourself and enjoy it then the sell is not as important as Frank used this car to help him with advertisment for his shop over the last few years. It did very well for him so in the end he wins no matter what.
I am sure he would have wanted more but that is how auctions go.
