I see some very nice stuff in there. The chassis under the 56 Nomad has really peeked my interest. Do you have any better pics? What shop do you work for anyways?

Thanks
Brent

Car porn is right - nice projects!

What are the Box-sides on the '51 from? I have a '49 in my project queue and really like that look.

Thanks

the chassis on the 56 uses double tube "main rails", and has a center "spine", making it super rigid without the need for a cage. however, it requires a whole new fabbed floor, and with the center spine, needs a tall tunnel from front to rear...similar to a viper. i dont have any pics of the bare chassis, as this is the point the car has been since i started 3 weeks ago, but i did see it go together before i started workin there.

the shops name is performance fabrication, in grants pass, oregon, there will be a "shop tour" feature article in the feb 06(?) issue of car craft, should be showing up in mailboxes around christmas. i know they took a bunch of pics of the nomad when it was still on the chassis table, before any floor was hiding the chassis.

on the 51, the 2x4 rails are from chassisworks, along with the front suspension. the chassis was ordered set up for a 4 link, but is being modified for the irs(look close at the rear susp pic and you can see the 4 link mounts), originally the 51 was to have and LSx/4l60e, but now i think it is getting a carbed small block/700r4...like i said, the shop aquired it from the customer, so the truck is kinda a back burner project.

i will have to look, i believe they are 18's/20's. i know they are only on there for "display"... im sure it will have something similar size... but something a bit more "trick" for wheel choice.
