Default batteries

I went through 2 optima red tops. not impressed. If you have a boomerang alarm, or something that is constantly drawing. These batteries get run down quickly! when re charged they are never at their peak. Never had enough power to run my power windows, stereo, etc. Even caused idle problems because my electric fans would come on, and the mass air meter would get the wrong voltage readings. done with optima.

Default That certainly isn't a ringing endorsement

What are you running now?

Has anybody run one of these?

I think all of the Absorbed Glass Mat batteries require a particular charger if run down.

Here are some good tips:

I never had any problems with my optima blue top, had it for about 8 years and still going strong, last two years I've been driving my car daily, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one,

Also have a yellow top in Escalade for over a year, still works just fine

They look big and the cells are offset so they probably won't fit any std Optima battery mount.

Yea I know, they definitely wouldnt fit but I thought it wasnt a bad deal for somebody with a big boat or what not. No shelf life listed though from what I can tell.

Personally I've had no issues with the red tops.
