Cool

I thought I was seeing double there for a minute. This is how mine looked.

I checked that system out. Seems like not a lot of product for the $.

I would really like to squeeze a wider tire in the rear, maybe a 285 or wider out back...but was not sure how to achieve that without a mini tube. I would think I could roll the fenders and gain a little clearance with that way, but what else could I do???

I have checked out the following kit on @ CPP:

I then figured I could pair this with a set of their upper control arms:

Get a set of the BMR bolt in sub frame connectors:

So everything I have read about stuffing a 275 up front has boiled down to it's just a pain in the @$$ and without a aftermarket subframe, you are 50/50 to get it to work.

I think the best option is to get a 17x9 with 5.5" of backspacimg and go with a 255/40...thoughts?

I am running a 255/40 on my wife's 69 Camaro on a 18x8.5" wheel with 5.25" backspacing. C6 Z51 brakes and Tru-Turn.

Have you researched 17" tire availability and selection?

I have not, but rather than running into this issues of not being able to turn, I figured that a serious sticky tire and a 255 will be the best scenario. In the event I really get deep into this an get an aftermarket subframe...I'm thinking I'll order the SPC control arms and reuse them moving forward as they have a great deal of adjustability.

Tru turn system looks like something I'm liking more & more now.

If I'm setup with a set of 17x10 w/ 5.75bs or maybe even 6" bs, and a 17x10 w/ 5.5" bs & 275/40s all around...that's a great starting point. Matching it with a great set of springs, shocks, leafs and a couple do anti-roll bars...should be a great start. Tubular CAs would then come next to dial everything right in for my entry to this sport.

Mini tubes will be in the future for sure, and that way I can get a new set of rears instead of a full new set!

Do it right, do it light!
