Mario, How were they shipped to you? As mentioned Greyhound is usually good on pricing.

If you know someone that ships alot of freight that would have a good discount, you should be able to beat that price by quite a bit.

As others have stated...Greyhound. And yes, he would have to go to the closest Greyhound to his home address and pick it up, but I'm almost positive it will be cheaper than what you have been quoted by the big guys.

Are those measurements in inches? That's a 10 foot by 6 foot by 4 foot box.

Greyhound does have limits on box size and weights...it has to be able to fit in the compartment under the bus. Tried to ship a hood about a year ago and with the boxing I felt was adequate, it wouldnt fit....

Mario---just charge me half of whatever shipping is bro!

Or, SEMA is coming up---if you've got guys coming out for it, let's wait till then and I can pick them up there if that works.

I used Greyhound to ship a subframe recently. It was $75 to ship through Greyhound. You can't beat that price at all

Wish I had better news to share but the shipping retardation/rates caused me to reconsider my whole business model for Carbon Kustoms ltd. (at least out of Canada to the States)... If you can believe it, the quoted rates where so high and the attrition/damage rate on the parts shipped (75%) caused me to almost stop my efforts in my tracks...

As an example (extreme mind you), I shipped a TA shaker for Goldberg's car that had to go from Toronto to Old Man Hendricks shop in NC over night.... The shipping was double what the part cost to produce (a pure carbon shaker and built high end epoxy resigns). That's right it cost more than twice what it cost to ship a product with these clowns than to build it out of very high end aerospace materials...

The net result is I've discussed setting up a a limited group of certified install shops (my certified dealer network) where they buy into the product line,,, and I then also provide consigned product on a tightly governed agreement... This way they have product in stock and I can send my own truck around every 1/4 (or half) to replenish their stock/s... It also places the product in key geographic places around the states for dealers to assist each other with sort distance shipping/handling....

Given the knowledge of how to handle and ship the product, the care of personal ownership and lack of commercial shipping & boxing cost I am able to offer the dealer network a better solution... It will insure parts are not damaged for Dam near equal money in the end as well...

Shipping is way out of hand when it comes to Carbon gang,, and anyone that is cheap will likely not be licensed and or insured and I'd say that is a pretty big gamble given the parts costs in general terms.... Sorry for the bad news ....
