I run a Holley Hi-Ram on a 5.3L...hole in hood!

Very informative article. I really thought the Holley would dominate (no pun intended). Looks like Fast is the way to go. Why in the world does Edelbrock not use an LS style throttle body bolt configuration? Thanks for sharing the article!!

The issue with the test is that different engines and cams will perform differently with different intakes. The results of this test does not mean that any particular intake is better for your engine.

Also meaningful is where in the rpm range the power is made and how you intend to drive the car. Then your tranny and rear end come into play.

Peak HP and Torque #s do not necessarily make a faster car.

Good point! I'm just looking to get in the 500's and I'll be happy. I'm looking for something that looks good and performs well. I still might go with the Holley mid rise....if they start making them in black.

They do make a black ceramic coated mid-rise.

I used the Mid-Ram and a 2 inch cowl hood and still had to trim the inner panel to fit. Used Holley engine mounts in the stock position, but a setback position would have helped bigtime. Sit your engine lower if possible. My (holley) swap pan has aabout 3/4 between the pan and subframe, so there's room to go lower, even with mine, but my buildplan was bolt-on stuff so I was a tad restricted.

looks cool though!
