why I never tried messing with the brake pedal. Gas pedal is doable, but the brake pedal would be so much easier. I would think that you would need to lower the brake pedal also, which wouldn't be very safe. The gas pedal would be much more work but it would be interesting to see what someone could come up with. Unfortunately I doubt anyone will produce anything for our cars, because most people are too caught up in bling to bother putting something truly fucntional on their car, that you can't see.

Credit John Parsons for the idea.

Use graduated thickness' of plywood to build up the height of the gas pedal such that it's undepressed height is equal to that of the height of the depressed brake pedal. Then shape the top-most layer of ply such that it reduces the gap between the gas pedal and brake. Then attach blingy alloy pedal cover.

Scha-wing.

BTW, There is a brilliant series of articles in the SCCA mag by Randy Pobst. In one particular article about a year ago he covered braking. His description of proper braking called for heavy-on gradual-off in terms of pedal pressure. At the time one is reaching over to blip the throttle one should be tapering off the pressure on the brake pedal. Which adresses the above worry of accomplishing the "blip" wilst one is heavy on the brakes.
