36.000 for a quality engine isnt actually too much if you think how much R&D has been put in to it. Tom can you tell us the maintenance of this engine? How streetable-everyday it could be? Would dropping the power a bit change anything? If cammed brand name LS7 is close to 25K there isnt a big jump to double horsepower and torque.

Dropping the power in boosted engine is just as simple as dropping the boost! I think the only problem in your case my friend would be the surviving of the T56

Based on your forum nick name you may not heard of the latest news on T56 camp . 2008 Viper SRT will get totally new and improved desing wich takes +600hp easily. I am pretty sure +1000 wont be a broblem after D&D treatment

This is an extremely reliable piece.I would use it for my everyday car it idles at 14 inchs manifold pressure very smooth .It has a hydrualic roller with only 360 pounds open pressure which should live a super long time.Thats one of the reasons we only ran it to 5300 is i was worried about valve float much past 5800 with 17 psi pushing on the back of the valve.I would say just change the oil every 1500 to 2000 miles and make sure everything runs in it's operating temps and that it.I'm actually working on some new lobes for the hydrualics that are going to be everything a solid will be - a few ponys. At any rate this will be a great daily combo. And if you ever get crazy and want to take it to the track. It should make just shy of 1500hp at 31 psi so that would be a handfull.
