Would love to see the final look. What's the powerplant???

Still like the Pewter/Charcoal/Red combo!
I like that color combo too. But right after I gave that rendering the final ok another car designed by Jason Rushforth showed up in a magazine. It had just been finished in Texas. I think theres a comment back in the thread somewhere. So Ben Hermance worked up a new one for me. Ill post it tonight.

19 pages long and only a few pictures.

Travis,
I saw your reply in Rons thread. Mine is also in bare metal, but still a rolling chassis. The rotissery is next.
The frame I am getting from Craig in the morning is NOT a AME sub. Its the OEM sub from a 1970 camaro. They used it as the basis for the fabricated one they sell.
I guess it's what they measured the suspension and chasis/body mount points for.
The huge benefit for me is that it is already clean, solid and powder coated. And it's verified to be square.
For the $200.00 he listed it for, its cheaper than having my sub blasted and powder coated. Not to mention the possible repairs and running around with it.

Besides, I can sell mine as a complete unit with everything on it and direct the funds back into the build.

What are you trying to say exactly?

Another great day!

I went to Art Morrison this morning and picked up my replacement subframe. It's a OEM unit mentioned in my last post. I met with Craig Morrison there and got the guided tour of the whole place. That was VERY COOL! Thanks for taking the time Craig, I really learned a lot and enjoyed every minute.
Craig showed me some different projects they are working on, some prototype parts and the complete manufacturing proccess from raw materials to crated ready to ship rolling chassis. Gearhead heaven!

After that I stopped in at Chris Holstrom Concepts (youthpastor) new shop and got to see the projects he is working on right now. There is a couple nice 'birds, a sweet Chevelle and the red first gen that just came back from the interior guy. It turned out very nice! I will let him post pics when it's all assembled.

Chris introduced me to a really nice guy named Rees. He does custom carbon fiber parts and has some cool stuff going on in his shop too. www.carbonguy.com
He is the one who did all the CF work on the Art Morrison 'vette.

On my way home to unload this sub. I will TRY to post some pictures tonight.

Hey? Shouldn't you be in the market for a project pretty soon?
I wish bud. After the 2 years of unemployment, I am now set back 2 years. I could always sell my current Camaro.

And a few shots from my travels yesterday. Chris' shop and a few of his projects. And one shot of my son at a local cruise in. He is a total car nut himself. He can pick out Camaros from all generations, Chevelles, Mustangs, Vettes and Firebirds, everything else is a "hot rod".
