Default Holley Dash Wire & Burn Out Switch (( 09-16-23 ))

So, I am still trying to figure out what the wire from the back of the Holley dash does and where I am going to put the Burn Out Switch.

Default Door Pulls & Steering Box Nut (( 09-17-23 ))

I finally ordered the correct steering box nut.

Finishing up the door pulls

The Star washers keep the screws from loosening when you pull on the strap.

and of course my supervisor is watching.

Default First Set of Valve Covers (( 09-21-23 ))

So, I ordered a set of LS Valve Covers from California Company's Amazon Store. Talk about a lack of quality control and the
lack of care in how they ship. Both valve covers were wrapped in the thinnest bubble wrap and of course they shipped them in a
giant box. This allowed the valve covers to bounce around in the box and get more damage then they had previously had. Yes, they
were previously damaged and they rattle canned them before shipping. I know this because the bubble wrap had fresh black paint on them.

Right now I will be removing the beautiful Carbon Valve Covers trying to isolate the leak issue.

I was very excited when I saw Amazon drop them on my front porch.

Then I picked up the box and heard them move around in the box. Insert very sad face here.

This is one of the 5 or 6 chips in the covers.

I was just about to put them on when I noticed sand blasting media and aluminum shaving.

I hate to bitch to sellers about things, but I would definitely let them know. That's ridiculous when the solution to shipping them without damage is so simple.

ACE Hardware has to be the most expensive place to buy hardware

If you need the stuff that day then a local purchase is the only option. I keep a supply of the most common size bolts, screws, washer, and nuts in my shop, buy them from Mc Master Carr. Far cheaper than what you've been paying.

On the plus side though, Marty’s at the purchase level now where Ace provides free roadside service!
