Default Ls3 engine

This is mental !!!!! I am finishing my 66 GTO protour wth Ls3 and people are prasing me. Fack my car ! You guys have depressed me massively, I want to stab myself in the neck ..lol

Please Nathan, anyway you can post a simple step by step (highlevel)
of how you did the motor and paint, I have gone through the forum. But something consolidated for "numpties" like me would be extremely grateful.

I am pulling my motor in November and doing the exact same, imitation is the greatest form of flattery ..

Please email me steps to my gmail please or post for the engine, just want the esthics part, the paint codes ? the sanding required ? all the paints used on the headers and rest, have 430 to wheel 515 at crank, happy with that. ([email protected])

Link to my weak build compared to yours ! Lovely work man !!!!!!

PS - how much horse and torque you have in that LS3 ?

Robbie

Good question.... I thought I would smooth out my intake while I had the motor out and cant seem to figure out how to gen in all the cracks even using the sandpaper cones.

I'll see if Jamie (Owner of OZMO) can jump in and give some feedback.

Robbie thanks for the props, we haven't dyno it yet but are hoping for 600 range on HP.

Nathan has done a complete how to in another forum. Here is the link: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188393

Jamie sent me some pics of a first gen that has the same intake but with the shorter runners.

Should be interesting to see how the longer runners will look.

Al asked if I could respond to this question regarding the intake manifold: We designed this intake primarily for street guys who want good midrange torque, whilst still maintaining high flow for high HP.

Anytime you make a change to the heads or intake, a custom cam should be specified for maximum performance. That said, the runner length on this intake is only about 1" shorter than a stock GM LS7 manifold and will work well on a stock cam.

Regards,
Jamie

Thanks guys, i personally prefer oem looks on many LS parts but this manifold tops it all. After i have my car dialed up, this is next mod.
