With a better burn out, quicker shifting trans, better weather, I think it's there. Close anyway...The best times I've seen from 1st gen car in handling trim is around 11.4-11.5 at 123-125. Believe that was Stielow.
I like the benchmark and goal, but Red Devil ran a 10.91 @ 130. You better get to work on that heads/cam/intake swap.

I don't think that's a real world spec.

Default I will have to look for the video link

but Ron Schwarz in his widebody Mustang ran 10.96 @ 134 on BFG KDW's on a cold track. I know it is not a 1st gen, but it is 3400 lbs and make 573 at the wheels with the LS7. Figured weight and HP was close to your car.

Did Rupp run a low to mid 11?

Was that on slicks? I couldn't find anything on that...

And what does your MPH translate to at, say, coastal elevation in Socal?

You would have to check with Mark. The best I've seen in in the 11.4 range in the videos and magazine coverage. The car is more than capable of mid 10's but not on street tires.

Ron's car is a freak of nature. I don't think anybody understands those numbers.

Rupp ran 11.3 to 11.5 of Mickey Thompson drag radials in Pomona between 123-125.

I don't want to start a pissing match on this in my thread. I am simply saying that I know I can run faster with more experience.

Default You are taking me completely wrong

I was using those as an example..I think you are under estimating what your car can do. The launch is everything about turning a good time as stated above. You just need some time to see what you car likes when you are bringing it out. I don't remember what the air and track temp was like the last time you ran, but your car has more in it.

Just suspension adjustments that will allow it to transfer weight should drop times. Seat of the pants says reduce front rebound and rear compression, and maybe a lighter rear spring. Then put a chute on the rear just to confuse people.
