Thanks a bunch for the comparison. My last motor had low enough compression I got none of the tinny sound that Flowmasters are known for. The fact that I had it all going through a single cat kinda killed the resonance as well. I'm going slightly different with my new motor, with higher compression and two different exhausts, and I may try comparing mufflers now. I know Spintechs are almost obnoxiously loud, but I'm still not the biggest fan of Magnaflow for some reason. I'm also considering some Dynomax ultraflow mufflers.

72 Nova SS, Plans have changed a little:artmorrison front subframe, and rear 3 link, pretty much stock ls1 and six speed with a single turbo for around 550hp. with a few other things mixed in.

Glad to see your car back on the road. Mufflers sound great. I now know what muffler to replace my Flow Delta 40's.
$400 for a set of stainless mufflers is not a bad price with today's metal prices going up every other minute. (ex. 1/2" EMT conduit was $1.89 per 10ft, 3 weeks ago. Today its $2.07 a stick)
