I was duped in the same sort of way, but not by a dealer, but one with perfect eBay credit. I took his word for it. The car I got was a complete mess. I had 2 options. Sell the car and try and recoup my money knowing that I would be doing this same thing to someone else, or build up a car to my specs. I could not do this to someone else, but I did think if I at least told someone about the car, I could sell it that way, but I would have lost a lot of money in a week or two's time. I was so dejected by this, after thinking about it, I just could not do it to someone else, so I built up the car I have now. I would very much encourage anyone buying a car sight unseen, to ask the online group to at least look at the car in question. You just never know.
